Campus Garden Days
10/27/2019, Next Garden Day
Parents and children gather to work on the John Muir gardens – everything from weeding, gathering leaves, planting flowers and vegetables, painting benches, and generally making our school a place of beauty! Your child will love filling the wheelbarrow, or watching how the composter works, or observing the wormery, and enjoying a cool drink or snack during our breaks.
It is so rewarding to watch the children plant a seed, watch it grow, and eventually dig out a carrot they can munch on! They try new foods, they see the vital connection between land and table, they gain an awareness of and appreciation for the natural world.
A few hours spending time with their friends, giving back to their school, and most importantly, having fun!
